Holiday and Travel Show Bern: discover travel inspiration and trends for 2025

From 23 to 26 January 2025, everything at the Holiday and Travel Show Bern will once again revolve around the diversity of travel. This year's edition also follows the spirit of the times and offers a big stage for the trend towards authentic experiences and individual travel.The travel year 2025 could not get off to a better start with the Holiday and Travel Show Bern: For four days, all travel needs will be expertly covered on the BERNEXPO site. “The Holiday and Travel Show Bern is much more than a traditional trade fair - at the end of January, it will become the largest travel agency in the region and a stimulating stage of inspiration for all travel enthusiasts. Numerous exhibitors from all over the world await our visitors, including exciting new ones such as the airlines Ethiopian Airlines and Flydubai as well as all relevant Swiss providers,” explains Exhibition Director Mario Kovacevic.

Vacations 2025: mobile, individual and authentic

With the “Bus & Travel” theme area and a diverse special area on camping and caravanning, mobile travel plays a central role at the travel show. Visitors can put together their own dream coach trip with maximum flexibility. Modern coach travel offers a wide range of options for customizing your trip.Individuality is very much in vogue in the travel year 2025: “Authentic experiences away from well-known places and large crowds of tourists are the trend. However, the summer beach vacation business is still the highest-selling in the entire industry, and many travelers extend the summer season into autumn,” explains Martin Wittwer, President of the Swiss Travel Association.

Sea or mountains - spoiled for choice

The “Sea & More” section offers a wide range of travel offers for water lovers and sun worshippers. The selection ranges from destinations with unique underwater experiences and beach vacations in Europe to cruises on the world's waters. The offer is complemented by adventure tours, safaris and trips to the Near and Far East.In the “Mountains & Water” theme area, spontaneous nature lovers will find ideas and experiences for their next excursion or a spontaneous short trip - for example to the Lötschental, Uri or the Bernese Oberland. One highlight of the vacation fair is the 300 or so travel presentations that take place in seven lecture cinemas. They are a versatile source of inspiration for discovering the whole world from Bern. Ideal conditions for a relaxed day at the fair

The vacation fair offers the ideal conditions for a stress-free and inspiring day at the fair. Parents can concentrate undisturbed on their next vacation plans thanks to a supervised crèche and a varied games corner. Culinary discoveries are provided by the Food Corner, which offers a world tour for the palate. In the vacation bar, fine cocktails and a beach feeling invite you to linger. For a stress-free journey, we recommend the RailAway combined ticket, which allows you to start your visit to the trade fair with a relaxed train journey.Important note: Due to the construction work for the new festival hall, there are fewer parking spaces available on the BERNEXPO site this year. We therefore recommend that you use public transport if possible.
