From 22 to 25 January 2026, The Holiday and Travel Show Bern will open its doors to travel enthusiasts, discovery lovers and globe-trotters. For four days, Bern will become Switzerland’s largest travel agency, once again showcasing authentic destinations and fascinating experiences.
For four days, numerous exhibitors – both long-standing participants and newcomers – will be present at the show in halls 3.2 and 2.2 at the BERNEXPO site, inspiring visitors to travel the world. With its wide range of destinations, themes and exciting special exhibitions, the 41st edition of The Holiday and Travel Show Bern not only invites visitors to plan their dream trips, but also to book them on the spot." The Holiday and Travel Show Bern is ideal for anyone looking to book a holiday. Visitors come to us for advice, but also to sign travel contracts at attractive prices,” explains trade fair director Mario Kovacevic.
New exhibitors such as Globetrotter and Uganda
The themed areas “The Sea & More” and “Mountains & Waters” offer inspiration for fans of adventure, sunshine and nature. In addition, authentic experiences off the beaten track, individual and mobile forms of travel, as well as flexible offers including bus travel, camping and caravanning, are particularly popular.
Another crowd-puller is the diving pool supervised by specialists. With its 30 cubic metres of water, it is suitable for both beginners and experienced divers holding a diving certificate. Swiss tour operator Globetrotter Travel Service, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, will also be present at the BERNEXPO site.
“I am delighted to be taking part in The Holiday and Travel Show Bern and the FESPO & Golfmesse Zurich as part of our company’s 50th anniversary celebrations. These dynamic forums for travel enthusiasts provide us with the ideal platform to share our passion for discovery, our many years of experience and our vision of responsible travel. I am convinced that this allows us to reach people who see travel not merely as a holiday, but as a school of life – and that is exactly what Globetrotter has stood for over five decades,” says CEO André Lüthi.
Uganda will be taking part for the first time with a strong presence. This East African country captivates visitors with its exceptional biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes – particularly its endangered mountain gorillas and Lake Victoria. In hall 1.2, visitors can attend nearly 300 presentations across eight cinemas, packed with targeted expert advice.
A show dedicated to relaxation
In addition to plenty of inspiration, The Holiday and Travel Show offers many other features for a stress-free day out. A childcare service and play area with numerous activities, a bouncy castle and a goal cage allow parents to focus on planning their next holiday without distraction. The Food Corner offers a culinary journey around the world, while a bar serving refined drinks and sweet treats provides the perfect opportunity for a short break. For a relaxed arrival, we recommend the RailAway combined ticket, which allows visitors to start their trade fair visit with a comfortable train journey.
